Ubah Hassan dropped a bomb during the  “Real Housewives of New York City” season 14 reunion.

On the first part of the Bravo update show that aired on October 22, 2023, Hassan faced off against co-stars Jenna Lyons, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Sai De Silva, and Brynn Whitfield. Out of nowhere, she interrupted a debate on the silly “cheese-gate” storyline to make a stunning claim about her co-stars.

“I think they should focus on how you guys didn’t want Jenna on the show,” Hassan said. “The three of you,” she added as she appeared to point at Taank, Lichy and De Silva.

De Silva responded, “I didn’t want Jenna on the show? What are you talking about?”

Host Andy Cohen segued past the comment, simply saying, “That’s a side bomb.”

On social media, some fans found it odd that Cohen didn’t ask Hassan to elaborate on why she alleged that some of the other RHONY stars didn’t want the former J.Crew president to be on the cast.

“@andy not addressing Ubah saying the 3 didn’t want Jenna on the show was mad weird!” one viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“18 minutes into the reunion and these girls are arguing about cheese, Ubah gives them drama on a PLATTER, about not wanting Jenna in the group and they all just moved on???” another asked.

“Andy let’s circle back to Ubah comments about the girls didn’t want Jenna on the show for part 2 of the reunion shall we,” another suggested.

Hassan had more to say about Lyons during the new cast’s first reunion. At one point, she alleged that Lyons acts differently when the cameras are on her. “TV Jenna is ‘poor me, I’m victim, I’m old, I’m this,’” Hassan said. “And the real Jenna, it’s powerhouse.”

Lyons appeared caught off guard. “I mean, I don’t even know what to say,” she told Hassan.

“I think it’s a lot different having cameras watching you,” Lyons added. “Having vulnerability and being powerful, like, they can exist together. I’m not in a power situation in this dynamic. At all.”

Hassan also accused Lyons of avoiding on-camera conflict. “Every time someone’s yelling or something you are never, nowhere to be found,” she said.

Lyons replied: “I’m happy to address something that involves me. I’m not so excited about weighing in on someone’s issue.”

“But are you excited in making an opinion about people when you are not in the scene?” Hassan fired back at the fashion guru.

Some fans felt that Hassan came in hot at the reunion in an attempt to secure herself a spot on the show for next season.

“The real question is, who put a quarter in Ubah? Mama said, I need another season so let me go ahead and spill this hot tea and leave,” one commenter wrote on Instagram.

“Ubah realized she didn’t really bring much this season …. so she decided to start throwing everyone under the bus so she can get more airtime next season 😂,” another cracked.

“These random moments of mess are a season late…she needs to bring this energy during the show next season not only at the reunion,” another wrote.

Andy Cohen Said He Hopes Jenna Lyons Will Return for RHONY Season 15

Following the reunion drama, some fans were more concerned about Lyons’ status on the Bravo reality show. “I’m calling it right now, Jenna will not be back next season. This platform is not for her,” one fan wrote.

Cohen was a driving force in Lyons’ casting on RHONY. In July 2023, he told the “Today” show he had a few “come to Jesus conversations” with Lyons to convince her to join the franchise. “I’m so glad she did because she is a brilliant Housewife,” he added.

In October 2023, Cohen talked about Lyon’s future on “The Real Housewives of New York City” as he answered fan questions on his Sirius XM radio show “Radio Andy.” After a caller asked if Cohen thought Jenna would be back on RHONY, the Bravo host replied, “I hope so.”

“You know, I think her girlfriend is a little camera-shy, so that’s a challenge, but I do really hope that she does [return],” Cohen added.

But Lyons didn’t sound very hopeful when she talked about RHONY during an October 2023 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”  After Cohen asked what her “thorn” of the season was, she replied, “I mean, the whole show.”
