Sewell (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Browns. Sewell is in line to make his 2024 regular-season debut Sunday. He started the season on the reserve/PUP list while recovering from a torn ACL injury he suffered in December of 2023. Sewell's ability to practice in full all week prompted his activation from the PUP list Saturday, and he will provide depth at linebacker behind starters Pete Werner, Demario Davis and Willie Gay.
The Saints activated Sewell (knee) from the reserve/PUP list Saturday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Sewell suffered an ACL injury in Week 17 of the 2023 regular season, and his recovery prompted the Saints to place the 27-year-old on the PUP list at the start of the regular season. He's still listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns, but if he's cleared to play, Sewell would give the Saints depth at linebacker, which is timely considering starter Pete Werner (hand) is considered a game-time decision.
Sewell (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Sewell has been on the Saints' reserve/PUP list since the start of the regular season while working his way back from an ACL injury from Week 17 of the 2023 season. While he was able to practice in full all week, he appears to need more time before returning to action. Sewell's next opportunity to make his 2024 regular-season debut will be against the Browns in Week 11.
Sewell (knee) was designated to return from the reserve/PUP list Wednesday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports. Sewell has missed New Orleans' first eight games this year while recovering from a torn ACL sustained in Week 17 of the 2023 season. The Utah product will now have 21 days to be activated to the Saints' active roster before reverting to IR. Expect Sewell to serve as one of New Orleans' top rotational inside linebackers once he returns to the field.
Sewell (knee) was placed on the reserve/PUP list by the Saints on Tuesday. Sewell is still working his way back from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 17 of the 2023 season and he'll be forced to miss at least the first four games of the 2024 campaign. The linebacker will be first eligible to return in Week 5 against Kansas City on Oct. 7.
The Saints placed Sewell (knee) on the active/PUP list Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Sewell suffered a torn ACL in Week 17 last season and isn't yet 100 percent. Undrafted out of Utah in 2022, Sewell has appeared in 20 games for the Saints over the last two seasons, mainly focusing on special teams. He'll likely fill a similar role in 2024.
Saints head coach Dennis Allen said in February that Sewell (knee) isn't expected to be ready for training camp, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Given that Sewell tore his ACL in Week 17 last season, it's not surprising that the linebacker will be eased back from surgery. Once healthy, the 25-year-old -- who recorded 15 tackles in 16 regular-season outings in 2023 -- is in line to reprise his depth/special-teams role with New Orleans.
