Ben DiNucci: Breaking News

Signs with Denver

DiNucci was signed to the Broncos' practice squad Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. DiNucci will join Denver's practice unit ahead of the AFC Championship Game against the Patriots. Bo Nix (ankle) suffered a season-ending injury in the team's 33-30 divisional-round win over the Bills on Saturday, and DiNucci will provide the team with a third option at quarterback behind Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger.

Cut by Falcons

Atlanta waived DiNucci on Saturday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. DiNucci had been a longshot to make the Falcons' initial 53-man roster since Michael Penix, Kirk Cousins and Easton Stick opened camp ahead of him on the QB depth chart. The 2020 seventh-round draft pick hasn't played in an NFL regular-season game since 2020, when he got into three contests with the Cowboys.

Signs with Atlanta

The Falcons signed DiNucci on Monday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. In a corresponding move, Atlanta waived fellow QB Emory Jones (concussion) with an injury designation. DiNucci figures to see action in the final preseason contest but isn't a good bet to make the 53-man roster behind Michael Penix, Kirk Cousins and Easton Stick.
