Moton (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. The starting right tackle missed Carolina's Week 17 loss to Tampa Bay with the knee issue. Moton has started all 13 games he's played in this season and all 112 contests he's suited up for since his rookie year in 2017.
Robinson (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. The defensive end missed the first two practice sessions of the week before participating on a limited basis Friday. Now, the 29-year-old will get to conclude a productive season in which he's played on at least half of the defensive snaps in all 15 games he's played in. Robinson has 75 tackles (42 solo), including 5.5 sacks, a pass breakup and a forced fumble in 2024.
Blackshear is expected to cede the start at running back to Miles Sanders (ankle) on Sunday in Atlanta, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Blackshear got the first chance to lead the backfield in the wake of Chuba Hubbard (knee) landing on IR prior to Week 17, but despite handling a 77 percent snap share last Sunday at Tampa Bay, the former had eight carries for 20 yards and wasn't targeted. Now with Sanders off injured reserve, he's in line to swap in for Blackshear, which isn't much of a surprise considering his vast experience as a No. 1 back. Blackshear thus will be vying with Mike Boone for complementary reps behind Sanders on Sunday.
Legette (hip/wrist) is active for Sunday's game at Atlanta, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Legette will continue to play through hip and wrist injuries, the latter of which may require surgery after the season. Still, he'll aim to end his rookie campaign on a high note, as he's seen at least eight targets in three of his last four appearances. Having said that, Legette has managed just a 13-127-0 line on 28 targets during that span.
Sanders (ankle) is listed as active and expected to start Sunday at Atlanta, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. In his first game action since he sprained his ankle Week 10 against the Giants, Sanders is in line to sit atop the backfield, what with both Chuba Hubbard (knee) and Jonathon Brooks (knee) on injured reserve and Velus Jones (coach's decision) inactive. Sanders will be vying with Raheem Blackshear (11 carries this season) and Mike Boone (nine) for touches Sunday. However, considering Sanders has 38 rushes and 21 receptions (on 26 targets) in 10 games on the campaign, he likely should be the top option among the trio.
The Panthers placed Barno (shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Barno spent time on IR earlier in the season due to a knee injury and returned to action Dec. 1. However, he hurt his shoulder last Sunday against Tampa Bay, and the injury will keep him out of Carolina's Week 18 season finale. Barno will finish the campaign with seven tackles (four solo), including 1.0 sacks, over five games. He has one more season remaining on his rookie contract.
Sanders (ankle) was activated off injured reserve Saturday and remains questionable for Sunday's contest against the Falcons, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Presumably, Sanders wouldn't be activated off injured reserve unless the team intended to play the veteran, but it's unclear if Raheem Blackshear, who got the start in replace of the injured Chuba Hubbard (knee) last week, will still get the first crack at the starting job Sunday. Sanders could be a cap causality this offseason, so from that standpoint the team theoretically should be more invested in the development of Blackshear, but this overall could be a messy backfield, with Mike Boone and Velus Jones also chipping in a few snaps as well.
