Barkley rushed 26 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns while bringing in two of three targets for 52 yards in the Eagles' 26-18 win over the Commanders on Thursday night. Barkley was the unequivocal team MVP for the Eagles on the night, with his 23- and 39-yard touchdown runs just 20 seconds apart in the fourth quarter pushing Philadelphia's lead from two to 16 points. The veteran back's yardage tally was actually only his fourth highest of the season, a testament to the caliber of his first Eagles campaign to date. Barkley's receiving yardage total was a season best, however, and he now has three multi-TD efforts and 1,137 rushing yards over 10 games heading into a favorable Week 12 road matchup against the Rams on Sunday night, Nov. 24.

Saquon Barkley Latest News
Another breakout effort in win
Had forearm examined briefly
Barkley rushed 14 times for 66 yards and caught his only target for 12 yards in Sunday's 34-6 win over the Cowboys. Barkley suffered an early injury to his left forearm, but he didn't miss much time and returned to start the second half Sunday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports. The star tailback didn't appear limited by the injury, outside of sporting a bandage on the affected area, and the blowout nature of the Eagles' win may have limited his playing time as well. Barkley has been one of the top performing players in fantasy this season, so managers should feel confident starting him against the Commanders on Thursday Night Football in Week 11.
Gets rested Wednesday
Barkley (back) was listed as limited due to rest on Wednesday's practice report. Barkley has put together three consecutive 100-yard performances on the ground, including this past Sunday against the Jaguars in which he ripped off 199 yards from scrimmage and two total TDs on a season-high 30 touches. On Monday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Barkley dealt with a tight back during that contest, but his ensuing listing to begin Week 10 prep clears him to continue to lead the Eagles backfield Sunday at Dallas.
Dealing with back tightness
Barkley experienced back tightness during Sunday's win over the Jaguars but is expected to be ready for Week 10 against the Cowboys, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Barkley didn't need medical attention during the win over Jacksonville and handled his normal workload, playing 72 percent of the Eagles' offensive snaps and finishing with a 27-159-1 rushing line. He added three catches for 40 yards and an additional touchdown on four targets. Barkley is up to eight touchdowns on the year and has eclipsed 100 yards from scrimmage in seven of eight contests.
Puts up 199 yards plus two TDs
Barkley rushed 27 times for 159 yards and a touchdown while corralling three of four targets for 40 yards and a second score in Sunday's 28-23 win over Jacksonville. Barkley continued to carry fantasy squads with another gaudy stat line for the 6-2 Eagles. The 27-year-old has flourished since joining Philadelphia this past offseason, averaging 5.9 yards per carry as a rusher with eight combined touchdowns through eight starts. Barkley has always been a household name in fantasy circles, and he is putting together an MVP-type season heading into a Week 10 matchup against Dallas next Sunday.
Eclipses century mark in win
Barkley rushed 22 times for 108 yards and brought in his only target for three yards in the Eagles' 37-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday. Jalen Hurts vultured a pair of one-yard rushing touchdown opportunities and also scored on the ground from seven yards out, leaving Barkley out in the cold as far as the end zone was concerned. However, the star running back still managed his second straight 100-yard effort and fourth overall of the season while equaling his second-highest carry total of the campaign. Barkley continues to look like a seamless fit in the Eagles' offensive attack heading into a Week 9 home matchup against the Jaguars.
Massive revenge game against Giants
Barkley carried the ball 17 times for 176 yards and a touchdown and caught two of three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 28-3 win over the Giants. The running back stomped all over the team he felt took him for granted during contract negotiations the last couple years before he left in free agency, leading his new Eagles squad to a huge win. The 176 rushing yards represented Barkley's best performance on the ground since he hung 189 yards on Washington back in Week 16 of the 2019 season, and he's reached triple-digit scrimmage yards in five of his first six games with Philly. Barkley will look to keep rolling in Week 8 against the Bengals.
Held in check in Sunday's win
Barkley carried the ball 18 times for 47 yards and caught both his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Browns. The running back failed to produce at least 100 scrimmage yards for the first time as an Eagle, but Barkley didn't need to carry the load on offense, as A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith were both back in action. Barkley has still averaged 5.3 yards per carry through five contests, a mark that would be a career high if he can keep it up, and he or the team may have simply been conserving his energy ahead of a potential revenge game in Week 7 against the Giants.
Efficient with limited opportunity
Barkley rushed 10 times for 84 yards and brought in two of four targets for 32 yards in the Eagles' 33-16 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. Barkley was expected to take even more on his shoulders with both A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) out of action for the Eagles, but game script quickly turned against the ground attack. The star back still made excellent use out of his modest opportunities, turning in efficient efforts through both the ground and air with the help of a 59-yard run and a 27-yard reception. Barkley's 12 combined touches were by far his fewest of his first four games as a member of the Eagles, but he should have a good chance of returning to a normal workload with what should be a much healthier offense around him in a Week 6 home matchup against the Browns on Sunday, Oct. 13 after a Week 5 bye.
