Now that he's left his concussion in the rearview mirror, Mailata is all set to operate as Philadelphia's starting left tackle in Thursday's regular-season opener against Dallas.

Mailata will have to clear the league's concussion protocol in order to return to the field, and it's currently unclear when he picked up the injury. The 28-year-old should be good to go for the team's Week 1 matchup versus the Cowboys, and Kendall Lamm will take over for him as the team's top left tackle in practice while Mailate remains sidelined.
Mailata (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants. Mailata is among a plethora of starters Philadelphia is sitting for rest purposes with the team having locked up the No. 2 playoff seed in the NFC. Joining Mailata as healthy inactives along the Eagles' offensive line are right tackle Lane Johnson and left guard Landon Dickerson.
