McKee (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Buccaneers but designated as the emergency quarterback. McKee will continue to fill his customary No. 3 emergency quarterback role and can only enter the game if both Jalen Hurts and Kenny Pickett are either ejected or injured and unable to return to the contest.

Emergency QB again Sunday
McKee (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Buccaneers but designated as the emergency quarterback. McKee will continue to fill his customary No. 3 emergency quarterback role and can only enter the game if both Jalen Hurts and Kenny Pickett are either ejected or injured and unable to return to the contest.
Serving as emergency QB
McKee (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints, but he will be available as the team's emergency third quarterback. McKee will only see the field Sunday should both Jalen Hurts and Kenny Pickett get hurt. McKee lost out to Pickett for the backup quarterback job during training camp.
Emergency QB versus Falcons
McKee is technically not active for Monday's matchup with the Falcons due to a coach's decision, but he will be available as the team's emergency third quarterback if needed. Kenny Pickett is slated to back up Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia's home opener, but McKee will be available if both happen to get hurt. The 2023 sixth-round pick was unable to earn the backup role during training camp. He did not see the field in the Eagles' season-opening victory over the Packers.
Fails to make case for No. 2 job
McKee completed 13 of 21 passes for 115 yards and an interception in Saturday's 26-3 preseason loss to the Vikings. The 2023 sixth-round pick took over from Kenny Pickett to begin the season half, but McKee failed to lead the Eagles to points on any of his five drives and turned the ball over twice, getting sacked and fumbling the ball on his first snap and then chucking a red-zone interception on his last one. This was the Stanford product's last chance to make his case for the No. 2 quarterback job behind Jalen Hurts, but McKee wouldn't seem to have done enough to overtake Pickett on the depth chart.
Seeing more second-team reps
Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia relays that McKee has gotten more reps with the second-team offense as the Eagles' training camp has progressed. McKee, who the Eagles selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, spent all of his rookie year as the emergency quarterback. While Philadelphia acquired Kenny Pickett from Pittsburgh in March to serve as Jalen Hurts' backup, Moore has shown enough improvement during training camp to see more reps with the second-team offense during practice. The Eagles play the Ravens in the first week of preseason action Friday, which will give McKee a chance to make his case for the backup job behind Hurts.
Reprising emergency QB duties
The rookie sixth-round pick will fill what has become a familiar role for him this season, serving as the option of last resort for the Eagles at quarterback in the event Jalen Hurts and Marcus Mariota both suffer in-game injuries.
Serving as emergency QB
McKee will technically suit up, but he'll only be able to enter the game if both Jalen Hurts and Marcus Mariota suffer injuries.
