Activated from IR
The Bears activated Borom (ankle) from injured reserve Saturday and he is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals,. Larry Mayer of the Bears' official site reports. Designated to return
The Bears designated Borom (ankle) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Borom's practice window will now open up and the team will have 21 days to officially activate him. Once the 25-year-old makes his return, he will help to provide depth along the offensive line.
Placed on IR

Borom suffered an ankle injury in the Bears' preseason finale against the Chiefs on Thursday and he'll now be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season. The offensive tackle will be first eligible to return in Week 5 against the Panthers on Oct. 6.
Hurts ankle in preseason finale
Borom suffered an ankle injury in Thursday night's preseason win over the Chiefs, Scott Bair of the Bears' official site reports. Coach Matt Eberflus said Borom will need further evaluation. In three seasons with the Bears, Borom has appeared in 39 games, making 23 starts, but the 2021 fifth-rounder is expected to handle swing tackle duties this season behind starters LT Braxton Jones and RT Darnell Wright.
Officially ruled out
Borom was considered doubtful as of Saturday and will not be traveling with the team to Minnesota. His absence will be a blow to the depth of the Bears' offensive line.
