Jonathan Ford: Everything you need to know

The Bears signed Ford off their practice squad Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Ford has appeared in three games for the Bears this season, failing to record a stat across 36 defensive snaps. Now back with the active roster, he's expected to play a depth role on Chicago's defensive line in the Week 8 matchup against the Ravens.

Ford (calf) was placed on IR on Tuesday with a designation to return. Ford exited the Packers' final preseason game with the injury, which had him carted to the locker room. The 25-year-old will have a chance to return this season, once healthy, but he'll have to miss at least the first four games of the season.
