The Bears waived Reed on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Reed played 38 offensive snaps during the preseason and completed 11 of 17 passes for 107 scoreless yards. He could be a candidate for the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Stays in Windy City

Reed signed a reserve/future contract with the Bears on Monday, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports. Reed signed with Chicago as an undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky, but he was unable to earn a spot on the team's 53-man roster. Instead, he spent the past season on their practice squad. He'll now have another chance to earn a spot with Chicago again in 2025.
