Travis Homer: Everything you need to know

Homer is slated to sign with the Steelers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. In 10 regular-season games with the Bears in 2025, Homer recorded just one carry and three catches, and with the Steelers he'll remain in a depth role in a backfield that also includes Jaylen Warren, Rico Dowdle and Kaleb Johnson. Additionally, Homer could emerge as a core special teamer for Pittsburgh, with Mike DeFabo of The Athletic noting that the 5-foot-10, 211-pounder -- who joined the league as a sixth-round pick by Seattle in 2019 -- is a potential kick-return option for his new team.

Homer did not record an offensive statistic in the Bears' 19-16 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Homer finished the season appearing in 10 games and recorded one rushing attempt for minus-two yards, with no receptions. He totaled just seven offensive touches across three seasons with the Bears while contributing primarily on special teams, offering no fantasy relevance. He is set to hit free agency.

Homer played all 18 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 42-38 loss to the 49ers. Homer suited up as the Bears' No. 3 running back, but as per usual, he didn't receive any reps on offense behind D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai and continued to offer most of his utility on Chicago's coverage units. For the season, Homer has played just six total snaps on offense and has carried once for minus-2 yards over his nine appearances.
