McCollum gathered 33 tackles (18 solo) and two pass defenses across 14 regular-season appearances in 2024. He added three more tackles (three solo) while playing in all four postseason games. McCollum was a core special-teamer who played in all but three regular-season games. He also started two games at strong safety - once in Week 14 when Sydney Brown and Reed Blankenship were both sidelined with injuries and once in the regular-season finale when the Eagles rested the majority of their significant players. McCollum signed a two-year, $2.1 million contract with Philly in January of 2024, and he'll become an exclusive-rights free agent after the 2025 campaign.
McCollum recorded four tackles (three solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 22-16 win versus the Panthers. Though it didn't translate to a huge day in the box score, McCollum played a career-high 66 defensive snaps in Week 14 with both Reed Blankenship (concussion) and Sydney Brown (knee) sidelined. His snap share in Week 15 versus the Steelers will probably depend on Blankenship's and Brown's availability.
McCollum recorded eight tackles (four solo) against the Buccaneers in Sunday's loss. With Reed Blankenship exiting the contest due to an illness late in the first half, McCollum got an extended opportunity at safety. He ended up logging 53 percent of Philadelphia's defensive snaps and finishing second on the team in tackles. McCollum had totaled just three defensive snaps over the season's first three weeks, and he'll likely to return to playing mostly on special teams if Blankenship is able to return to action following the Eagles' Week 5 bye.
