Latest Lakers News
Anthony Davis : Available to face Denver
Davis (back) is available for Game 3 against the Nuggets on Thursday, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports. As has been the trend throughout the regular season and the playoffs, Davis appears in the injury report but then is listed as available closer to tipoff. Davis has averaged 32.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 blocks per game in the first two games of the series against the Nuggets.
LeBron James : Available to play
James (ankle) is available to play in Thursday's Game 3 versus the Nuggets, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports. As is usually the case, James was carrying a probable tag prior to this update due to lingering left ankle soreness. James is not expected to have any restrictions as the Lakers attempt to pick up their first win of the series.
Cam Reddish : Sidelined for Game 3
Reddish (ankle) won't play in Thursday's Game 3 against Denver, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Reddish will miss a sixth consecutive game -- stretching back to the regular season -- with a sprained right ankle. Taurean Prince should continue to see more minutes in Reddish's absence. His next chance to play will come Saturday for Game 4.
Christian Wood : Ruled out for Game 3
Wood (knee) has been ruled out for Game 3 against the Nuggets on Thursday, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Wood has been ramping up his workload and was hopeful that he would be able to get back to the court for Game 3, but the medical staff will hold him out for at least one more game. His next chance to play will come Saturday.
Jarred Vanderbilt : Missing Game 3
Vanderbilt (foot) won't play in Thursday's game against the Nuggets, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Vanderbilt was highly involved in the Lakers' shootaround Monday and appears to be nearing his first taste of game action since Feb. 1. However, he'll still be inactive for Thursday's Game 3, making Saturday's Game 4 Vanderbilt's next chance to go.
LeBron James : Another probable tag
James (ankle) is listed as probable for Thursday's Game 2 against Denver, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. James has been listed as probable for each of the first two games of the series but has averaged 39.5 minutes per contest. Considering he's looked to be 100 percent in both games and has been an injury report mainstay this season, fantasy managers should expect James to be available Thursday.
Anthony Davis : Probable for Thursday
Davis (back) is probable for Thursday's Game 3 matchup with the Nuggets, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Davis played through the back issue during Game 2 and logged 39 minutes on his way to a 32-point, 11-rebound double-double, so it clearly didn't impact him all that much. We should get official confirmation on his status closer to Thursday's tip.
Anthony Davis : Leads Lakers in Game 2 defeat
Davis ended Monday's 101-99 loss to the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals with 32 points (14-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 39 minutes. Davis has led the Lakers in scoring in each of the first two games of the series, but despite producing back-to-back 30-plus point efforts in the matchup against Nikola Jokic, the Lakers have fallen short of victory both times. Davis will likely land on the injury report ahead of Game 3, but given the situation and the workload he's handled in the first two games of the series, the star big man shouldn't have problems being active for Game 3 on Thursday.
