Wade was waived by the Ravens on Tuesday, Clifton Brown of the team's official site reports. The wide receiver caught seven passes for 99 yards and a touchdown during the preseason but it wasn't enough to land a roster spot. Wade signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in April after catching 55 passes for 830 yards and four touchdowns during his final collegiate season at Ole Miss.
Wade caught four of five targets for 27 yards in the Ravens' preseason loss to the Eagles. The undrafted rookie out of Mississippi saw plenty of action Friday as he led the team in targets, receptions and yards. Wade (5-9, 175) was an important part of Ole Miss' passing game in 2023 as he averaged 10.1 yards per target over 6.3 targets per game. Still, Wade will need to stack these types of performances while contributing on special teams to keep his 53-man roster hopes alive. That said, Friday's outing puts him on the radar heading into the second preseason game against the Falcons.
