Devontez Walker: Everything you need to know

Walker will face increased competition for touches after the Ravens drafted a pair of rookie wideouts in Ja'Kobi Lane (third round) and Elijah Sarratt (fourth round) in the 2026 NFL Draft, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Walker seemed like the top candidate for the No. 3 receiver role behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman (illness) prior to the 2026 NFL Draft, but the third-year pro may now need to impress in a competition this offseason in order to secure more than a situational role. Through his first two seasons in the league, Walker has secured only seven of 11 targets, but he's made an impact on those limited touches, with 157 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Rookie tight ends Matthew Hibner (fourth round) and Josh Cuevas (fifth round) also represent added competition for targets.

Walker had six catches for 136 yards and three touchdowns on eight targets in 2025. Walker has a unique stat line through his first two seasons. He's had seven catches on 11 career targets, but those grabs have gone for 157 yards and three touchdowns. Five of his seven catches have gone for over 20 yards. Dating back to his rookie season, Walker's first three catches all went for touchdowns. While that efficiency is promising, it's difficult to take much away from seven catches in two seasons. Walker might still be a worthwhile target in deeper dynasty formats. DeAndre Hopkins was on a one-year deal in Baltimore this past season, and two pass-catching tight ends, Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar, are hitting free agency. Additionally, Baltimore will be installing a new coaching staff and offense in 2026. Walker may never be a high-target type of receiver, but there's a chance that he works his way into a significant snap share in three-wide sets in Baltimore, depending on how the offseason unfolds.

Walker failed to record a single target in Sunday's 24-0 win over the Bengals. Walker was a complete non-factor Sunday despite playing a season-high 61 percent snap share. The second-year wideout played 25 of the Ravens' 41 offensive snaps in the contest, the second most snaps among wide receivers behind only Zay Flowers (32). The spike in Walker's playing time came on a day when teammate Rashod Bateman (ankle) was inactive. Even so, the North Carolina product was unable to earn any opportunities against Cincinnati. Walker is not a consideration for fantasy purposes as the Ravens host the Patriots in Week 16.
