Ismail's (undisclosed) practice squad contract with Baltimore expired Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Ismail was signed to the Ravens' practice squad in late August after failing to make the team's 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He was placed on the practice squad injured list in mid-October due to an undisclosed injury. Now that his practice squad contract has expired, Ismail will have an opportunity to sign a futures deal with the Ravens or another team once he's fully healthy.
Ismail (undisclosed) was placed on the practice squad injured list Friday, Clifton Brown of Baltimore's official site reports. Ismail will be out of action for a while from the team's practice squad as he deals with an unknown injury. With the 6-foot-6 pass catcher now out, tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden has been re-signed to the practice squad in a corresponding move.
Ismail signed with the Ravens' practice squad Wednesday, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports. Ismail linked up with Baltimore in May as an undrafted free agent and is the son of Qadry Ismail. Although he was unable to make the team's 53-man roster out of camp, he'll now have the opportunity to stick with the team's practice squad.
Ismail was waived by the Ravens on Tuesday. Ismail signed with Baltimore in May after impressing during the team's rookie minicamp. However, the Samford product was ultimately unable to parlay that into a 53-man roster spot.
