Tupou (undisclosed) signed with the Ravens' practice squad Monday, Clifton Brown of the team's official site reports. Tupou sustained an undisclosed injury while playing with the Ravens this past preseason, but Monday's signing likely indicates he's since moved past the issue. The Colorado product could be elevated to Baltimore's active roster at some point this season if the team's interior defensive linemen face injuries.
Tupou (undisclosed) and the Ravens reached an injury settlement Tuesday. Tupou suffered an undisclosed injury with Baltimore in the preseason and instead of spending the 2024 season on the team's injured reserve, he'll test the open market. The defensive tackle appeared in 14 games with the Bengals in 2023, compiling 19 total tackles (eight solo).
Tupou signed a contract with the Ravens on Tuesday. Tupou has spent the last six seasons with the Bengals, but the team didn't re-sign the veteran, opening up the opportunity for him to sign with the AFC North rival. The 30-year-old will likely compete for a depth role on the interior of the defensive line in Baltimore.
Tupou was able to manage limited practices Thursday and Friday, but he's apparently still unlikely to suit up Sunday. Jay Tufele will probably see increased reps in Week 10 provided Tupou is sidelined.
