Latest Thunder News
Jaylin Williams : Sidelined Tuesday
Williams (hamstring) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Jazz. Williams has yet to make his 2024-25 regular-season debut due to a right hamstring strain, which he aggravated during a workout in late October. His next opportunity to return will be Thursday against Toronto.
Alex Caruso : Remains out Tuesday vs. Utah
Caruso (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Jazz. Caruso will be sidelined for a fifth straight game Tuesday due to a lingering hip issue. His next chance to play will be against the Raptors on Thursday, but it's not clear how close the 30-year-old guard is to a return.
Isaiah Joe : Plays just 13 minutes
Joe accumulated zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two assists in 13 minutes during Sunday's 119-116 loss to the Rockets. For just the second time this campaign, Joe was held scoreless Sunday. He's been slumping pretty hard, failing to reach double-digit points in four of his last five outings. His workload had been pretty healthy before Sunday, so that's something to monitor going forward.
Jalen Williams : Pours in 22 points
Williams supplied 22 points (7-21 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal in 37 minutes during Sunday's 119-116 loss to Houston. Williams got back above 20 points after failing to reach that threshold over the last two games. The Santa Clara product continues to excel in Oklahoma City's offense with superlative rebound and assist numbers to accompany his season average of 21.5 points per game. He's also one of the Thunder's best defensive players, averaging 2.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.
Isaiah Hartenstein : Double-double streak continues
Hartenstein finished Sunday's 119-116 loss to the Rockets with 19 points (9-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 30 minutes. Hartenstein's red-hot start has been a pleasant surprise for the Thunder, who needed someone to step up to replace Chet Holmgren (hip). The Thunder found their man in Hartenstein, who made his season debut two weeks ago and has posted a double-double in every game.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander : Leads team with 32 points
Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 32 points (10-19 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 9-11 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Sunday's 119-116 loss to Houston. Gilgeous-Alexander turned in another excellent line, which has become customary for the All-Star over the past two weeks. He's in the midst of an incredible run, averaging 33.6 points, 6.8 assists, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals over his last five games.
Alex Caruso : Out again vs. Rockets
Caruso (hip) will remain sidelined for Sunday's game against the Rockets, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports. Caruso has been hindered by a nagging hip injury that has limited him to just two appearances since Nov. 13. There is no word on how close he is to a return. The stud wing defender's next opportunity to suit up will come Tuesday against the Jazz.
Luguentz Dort : Back on track Friday
Dort racked up 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists over 24 minutes during Friday's 101-93 victory over the Lakers. After managing only 10 total points and going just 2-for-17 from three-point range over the prior four games, Dort found his rhythm again Friday. Over 15 games in November, the 25-year-old wing averaged 9.8 points, 5.1 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.3 steals, but he shot just 38.9 percent from the floor.
