Holmgren ended with eight points (4-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and 13 rebounds in 29 minutes during Sunday's 92-87 victory over the Nuggets in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Holmgren came off back-to-back impressive performances in Game 2 and Game 3 but couldn't get it going offensively in Game 4, as he failed to crack double digits. However, the Gonzaga product partly atoned by ripping down 13 rebounds in Sunday's win, the second-best total on the team behind Isaiah Hartenstein (14).

Chet Holmgren Latest News
Rough shooting performance

Holmgren ended with eight points (4-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and 13 rebounds in 29 minutes during Sunday's 92-87 victory over the Nuggets in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Holmgren came off back-to-back impressive performances in Game 2 and Game 3 but couldn't get it going offensively in Game 4, as he failed to crack double digits. However, the Gonzaga product partly atoned by ripping down 13 rebounds in Sunday's win, the second-best total on the team behind Isaiah Hartenstein (14).
Double-doubles in Game 2

Holmgren produced 15 points (3-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 149-106 victory over the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for the Thunder in this dominant win, but Holmgren posted a solid stat line as well. Aside from ending with a double-double, the third one of his playoff run, he also recorded at least two tallies in each of the six major categories. Through six appearances in the postseason, Holmgren is averaging 16.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2.8 blocks per game.
Serviceable effort in Game 1 loss

Holmgren provided 12 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists, four blocks and one steal across 28 minutes during Monday's 121-119 loss to Denver in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Holmgren provided decent numbers on both ends of the floor but was certainly not at his best. Despite leading for most of the game, Oklahoma City came up just short thanks to a last-second three-pointer courtesy of Aaron Gordon. Having not played for more than a week may have factored into OKC's loss, but the team will look to bounce back Wednesday in Game 2.
Pours in 24 points in win

Holmgren notched 24 points (8-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and eight rebounds over 32 minutes during Thursday's 114-108 win over the Grizzlies in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Holmgren led the Thunder in rebounds and finished as the club's third-leading scorer Thursday. The big man shot 0-for-4 in the first half, though he scored 23 of his 24 points in the second -- including 16 in the third quarter. He's averaging 21.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.7 three-pointers and 2.3 blocks across 28.7 minutes per game during the first round.
Swats five shots in Game 2

Holmgren logged 20 points (6-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 11 rebounds and five blocks over 33 minutes in Tuesday's 118-99 win over the Grizzlies in Game 2 of the Western Conference playoffs. Holmgren posted his second straight double-double of the playoffs and showed off his defensive dominance with a game-high five blocks. Including the playoffs, Holmgren has 13 double-doubles and five games in which he's logged at least five blocks. He's also been efficient from beyond the arc this postseason, connecting on six of his 12 three-point attempts in two playoff games.
Posts double-double in blowout win

Holmgren closed Sunday's 131-80 victory over the Grizzlies in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 19 points (5-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 21 minutes. Holmgren did a little bit of everything in just 21 minutes in Sunday's blowout playoff contest, leading all players in rebounds to go along with a team-high-tying pair of blocks in a double-double performance. Holmgren recorded a double-double in 11 games during the regular season, adding at least a pair of blocks in six of those outings.
Will play against Memphis on Sunday

Holmgren (back) has been upgraded to available for Game 1 against the Grizzlies on Sunday. Holmgren missed the final two games of the regular season, but it was only because the Thunder were extremely cautious with the big man since OKC had already secured the top seed in the Western Conference. However, Holmgren should be ready to handle his regular two-way workload. The second-year big man was limited to only 32 appearances in the regular season, but he still averaged 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 2.0 assists per game.
Expected to play Sunday

Holmgren (back) is expected to play in the postseason. Holmgren missed the final two games of the regular season, but his absences were likely precautionary, as the Thunder already had the No. 1 seed locked up. After appearing in all 82 regular-season games last season, Holmgren made only 32 appearances this year. Over his last five appearances, Holmgren averaged 17.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.2 blocks in 28.8 minutes per game.
Won't face Pelicans

Holmgren (back) is out for Sunday's game against the Pelicans. Just like it happened Friday against the Jazz, the Thunder will rest the majority of their regular rotation members for this regular-season finale after securing not only the top seed in the Western Conference, but also the best record in the league. Holmgren's injury isn't expected to be serious, though, and the big man is likely to be available for the start of the playoffs April 19. His absence means the Thunder will likely turn to Jaylin Williams to shoulder the bulk of the load in the frontcourt alongside Kenrich Williams.
