Latest Warriors News
Brandin Podziemski : Not on injury report
Podziemski (nose) is not on the injury report for Friday's game against the Pelicans. Podziemski was hit in the face late in Wednesday's win over the Hawks, and X-rays were negative. The fact that the second-year guard is not on the injury report suggests he shouldn't have limitations going forward and that the hit to the nose will end up being nothing more than just a scare. Podziemski is averaging 7.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game this season.
Stephen Curry : Listed probable for Friday
Curry is probable for Friday's game against the Pelicans due to left knee bursitis. The probable tag suggests Curry should end up playing and handling his regular workload for the Warriors, as he's been dealing with knee pain over the last two weeks. However, Golden State will likely exercise caution with the health of its star floor general, especially after losing De'Anthony Melton to a season-ending knee injury earlier this week. Curry is averaging 24.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game since the beginning of November.
Stephen Curry : Sniffs double-double
Curry posted 23 points (7-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 120-97 victory over the Hawks. Curry filled the stat sheet admirably in this game and delivered one of his most efficient outings of the season, missing just three shots from the field and ending just two assists away from a double-double. Curry is averaging 24.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game since the beginning of November.
Trayce Jackson-Davis : Posts double-double
Jackson-Davis provided 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 120-97 win over Atlanta. Jackson-Davis recorded his first double-double of the season Wednesday, and it was also the first time he scored in double digits since the 125-112 win over the Wizards on Nov. 4. Jackson-Davis' role as the Warriors' starting center is not under any threat. He's averaging 7.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game since the beginning of November while starting in each of his nine outings.
Andrew Wiggins : Goes for 27 points Wednesday
Wiggins provided 27 points (12-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 120-97 win over Atlanta. Wiggins delivered one of his best scoring performances in 2024-25, finishing just two points shy of tying his season-high mark. The lack of consistency in Wiggins' numbers has been frustrating for fantasy managers, but he's scored over 20 points in his last two games, so the signs are trending in the right direction it seems. Wiggins is averaging 15.0 points per game while shooting 44.3 percent from the field since the beginning of November, however, so there's room for him to continue improving.
Brandin Podziemski : X-rays negative, DTD
X-rays on Podziemski's nose came back negative after Wednesday's 120-97 win over the Hawks, and coach Steve Kerr said Podziemski is day-to-day, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Podziemski was hit in the face late in Wednesday's game, which was particularly concerning because he broke his nose during the preseason. However, Podziemski has avoided another break and doesn't seem to be at risk of a long-term absence. Podziemski finished the contest with three points (1-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and a steal across 15 minutes. His next chance to play will come Friday at New Orleans for the first game of a back-to-back set.
Brandin Podziemski : Exits after being hit in face
Podziemski went back to the locker room during Wednesday's game against the Hawks after being hit in the face, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Podziemski suffered a broken nose in the preseason and was forced to wear a mask for several weeks, making Wednesday's incident concerning. Podziemski remained down on the floor for several minutes before getting up and heading back to the locker room. While he's out, Moses Moody, Buddy Hield and Gary Payton could see some extra minutes.
Gary Payton : Officially playing Wednesday
Payton (calf) is active for Wednesday's game against Atlanta. Payton will maintain his perfect attendance on the season despite dealing with the right calf tightness earlier Wednesday. He has become the seventh guard in Golden State's rotation with the emergence of Lindy Waters, although Payton's defense still earns him bench minutes on a nightly basis.
