Bosa finished the 2024 regular season with 5.0 sacks among his 22 tackles (17 solo) in 14 appearances (nine starts). Bosa's days as a dominant pass rusher appear to be behind him, as he has just 14.0 sacks over the past three regular seasons while being limited to 28 appearances over that span. He tacked on a sack in the playoffs, but that wasn't nearly enough to prevent the Chargers from crashing out with a 32-12 loss to the Texans in the wild-card round. The big-name pass rusher is under contract at a cap hit of $36.47 million for 2025, but the Chargers can get out of the deal with $11.11 million in dead cap space, and LA will likely take that out given Bosa's declining production in recent years after he compiled double-digit sack totals in four of his first six seasons.
Fox had 3.5 sacks among his 27 tackles (19 solo) and added one pass defensed in the 2024 regular season. Fox dressed for all 17 regular-season games but started only three. He added two tackles (one solo) in the Chargers' wild-card round playoff exit against the Texans. The 30-year-old defensive lineman is set to be an unrestricted free agent after spending the past three seasons with the Chargers.
Dupree posted 6.0 sacks among his 28 tackles (18 solo) while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games in 2024. He also had one interception among his pair of passes defensed. Dupree reached 6.0 sacks for the fifth time and has notched at least 4.0 sacks in nine of 10 NFL regular seasons. He also suited up for the Chargers' 32-12 playoff loss to the Texans in the wild-card round but didn't contribute any meaningful statistics. Dupree remains under contract at a $3.64 million cap hit for his age-32 season in 2025.
Tart finished the 2024 regular season with one sack among his 29 tackles (15 solo). He also had one interception among two passes defensed, forced one fumble and recovered one fumble. Tart played in all 17 regular-season games and suited up for the Chargers' season-ending 32-12 loss to the Texans in the wild-card round of the playoffs, adding three tackles (two solo). The defensive tackle, who will turn 28 on Feb. 28, is set to be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
Colson finished with 29 tackles (15 solo) and one pass defensed in 11 appearances during the 2024 regular season. Colson tacked on four tackles (three solo) in the Chargers' wild-card round loss to the Texans in the postseason. The 2024 third-round pick notched only one start in his rookie season, occupying a part-time role at linebacker on defense and contributing on special teams.
Hart (shoulder) finished the 2024 regular season with 37 tackles (28 solo), including 0.5 sacks, seven pass defenses and one forced fumble across 14 games. Hart was selected by the Chargers in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 140th overall, three spots after teammate Tarheeb Still. Hart was used mostly on special teams over the first four games of the regular season, but he did start in the six games following the Chargers' Week 5 bye and accumulated 28 tackles (19 solo), including 0.5 sacks, four pass defenses and one forced fumble over that span. Hart and Still could be the Chargers' starting outside cornerbacks for the 2025 campaign if Kristian Fulton opts to take his talents elsewhere in free agency.
Ogbonnia played in all 17 regular-season games in 2024 and finished with 37 tackles (14 solo). Ogbonnia played in just 15 regular-season games between 2022 and 2023 due to injury, but he was able to start in every game in 2024 (including playoffs ) and finished with a career-high 37 combined tackles. The 2022 fifth-round pick will likely be the Chargers' starting nose tackle for the 2025 campaign.
