AJ Finley: Everything you need to know

Finley (knee) and the Seahawks agreed on a contract Wednesday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports. Finley will remain in Seattle after spending the entirety of the 2025 campaign on injured reserve with a knee issue. The safety will look to return to full health and compete for defensive snaps in the Seahawks' secondary in 2026.

The Seahawks placed Finley (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Corbin K. Smith of SI.com reports. Finley was injured in practice over the weekend and will now spend the 2025 campaign on injured reserve unless he's cut with an injury settlement at a later date. Finley has appeared in 26 regular-season games with the Chargers and Seahawks over the last two seasons.

Finley (knee) suffered a knee injury at practice Saturday, Corbin K. Smith of SI.com reports. Finley sustained the knee injury on a touchdown catch by wide receiver Dareke Young, and after practice head coach Mike Macdonald said the initial reports weren't good for the safety. Finley seems likely to be sidelined for a while, almost certainly missing Thursday's preseason opener against the Raiders.
