Jamaree Salyer: Everything you need to know

Coach Jeff Hafley said that the injury Salyer (undisclosed) sustained during practice Wednesday won't be a long-term issue, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Salyer was carted off the practice field Wednesday, so it's relieving news that he avoided anything too serious. Hafley also said that Salyer may miss practice next week, which could open the door for rookie sixth-rounder DJ Campbell to get more meaningful reps at guard.

Salyer (undisclosed) was carted off the practice field after suffering an injury Wednesday, Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. It's not known at this time exactly what kind of injury Salyer sustained, but it looks like it could be something serious. His not being available would be a severe blow to Miami's depth on its offensive line, potentially leaving rookie sixth-rounder DJ Campbell as one of the top backup options at guard.

Salyer and the Dolphins agreed to terms on a contract Friday. After spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Chargers, Salyer has found a new home in Miami. The 25-year-old from Georgia appeared in 13 regular-season games (five starts) last season, logging 501 total snaps (449 on offense, 52 on special teams). Now with the Dolphins, Salyer is expected to compete for a starting role on the offensive line ahead of the 2026 season.
