The Raiders signed Rice to a reserve/future contract Monday. Rice joined the practice squad in Las Vegas in early December, failing to appear in a contest in his brief time with the team. The wideout will now get a chance to train with the Raiders during the offseason in an attempt to get a shot with the team's active roster in 2026.
Rice signed with the Raiders' practice squad Wednesday. The 2024 seventh-round pick from USC was cut from the Seahawks' practice squad Tuesday but has already found a new home in Las Vegas. Rice's last in-game action came with the Chargers in 2024, when he played 13 total snaps (three on offense, 10 on special teams) and failed to record a stat across three contests. Now with the Raiders, he could be elevated to the active roster if Dont'e Thornton (concussion) is unable to play in the Week 14 matchup against the Broncos.
The Seahawks released Rice from the practice squad Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Rice was signed to the practice squad Nov. 18 after being cut from the Patriots' practice squad Nov. 11. If the wide receiver clears waivers, he will once again find himself a free agent.
