Dissly caught two of his three targets for 24 yards in the 17-10 loss to Kansas City on Sunday. Hayden Hurst saw the bigger side of the tight end platoon this week, tallying 35 snaps compared to Dissly's 20, but it was the latter who had the marginally better fantasy day. Neither tight end is in a viable fantasy situation given the Chargers' preference to run the ball and rely on their defense to keep games close.

Will Dissly Latest News
Secures two catches in loss
Dissly caught two of his three targets for 24 yards in the 17-10 loss to Kansas City on Sunday. Hayden Hurst saw the bigger side of the tight end platoon this week, tallying 35 snaps compared to Dissly's 20, but it was the latter who had the marginally better fantasy day. Neither tight end is in a viable fantasy situation given the Chargers' preference to run the ball and rely on their defense to keep games close.
Targeted three times in loss
Dissly caught all three of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Steelers. Dissly played 23 of the Chargers' offensive snaps Sunday while fellow tight end Hayden Hurst was on the field for 28 snaps. Neither tight end was able to get much going as the offense struggled to move the ball against the Steelers defense. While he's stuck in a timeshare at tight end with Hurst in a run-first offense, Dissly won't hold much fantasy appeal.
Three grabs against Panthers
Dissly caught all three of his targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 26-3 win over the Panthers. Dissly led all Chargers tight ends in catches Sunday while playing three fewer offensive snaps than teammate Hayden Hurst. The veteran did not produce much with his opportunities, and he'll likely continue to struggle to produce for fantasy purposes on a run-first team with deploying several tight ends. Dissly and the Chargers are set to square off against the Steelers in Week 3.
One catch in win
Dissly caught his lone target for 13 yards in Sunday's 22-10 win over the Raiders. Dissly operated as the Chargers' second tight end in the contest, playing 25 of 57 offensive snaps Sunday. Teammate Hayden Hurst, however, was more involved in the game plan, as he played 35 snaps and saw three targets from quarterback Justin Herbert. If this type of usage were to continue, it would be difficult to trust Dissly to produce consistently for fantasy purposes. The veteran will have his next opportunity to be more involved in a Week 2 matchup against the Panthers.
Set to sign with Bolts
Dissly is slated to sign a three-year deal with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Pelissero relays that Dissly's pending contract is for $14 million, including $10 million guaranteed. With Gerald Everett in line to become a free agent, Dissly will bolster the Chargers' tight end corps in 2024, while providing the team with a reliable run-blocking option at the position. During the 2023 regular season, the 27-year-old recorded 17 catches (on 22 targets) for 172 yards and a touchdown over 16 games with the Seahawks, who he joined as a fourth-round draft pick in 2018.
Set to be let go
The Seahawks are slated to release Dissly, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports. Per the report, the move will free up $6.97 million in salary cap space for Seattle. Dissly, who is coming off a 2023 regular season in which he recorded 17 catches on 22 targets for 172 yards and a touchdown over 16 games, will look to catch on elsewhere as a depth tight end.
Targetless again
Dissly played 22 offensive snaps, trailing Noah Fant (33) but staying ahead of Colby Parkinson (18). The 2018 fourth-round pick caught five passes through the first two games but has just one target since then.
