Jovic ended with eight points (3-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and four assists over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 118-84 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Jovic was forced to embrace a bigger role in the second half of the season and was a permanent fixture in the starting unit since mid-February. While he had some strong performances here and there, he lacked consistency on a game-to-game basis, and he was unable to become a reliable offensive alternative when the Heat needed him, especially in games where they were shorthanded. It remains to be seen if Jovic will remain a regular starter for the Heat next season. but it's worth noting he averaged 9.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game across 33 starts since the beginning of February, counting both the regular season and the playoffs.

Latest Heat News
Nikola Jovic : Decent output in playoff exit
Bam Adebayo : Scores 23 points in playoff exit
Adebayo supplied 23 points (10-26 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, six assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 118-84 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Adebayo had to shoulder a bigger load on offense due to the absences of Jimmy Butler (knee) and Terry Rozier (neck), and for the most part, the star big man delivered. He scored 20 or more points in each game of the series while posting two double-doubles. Adebayo averaged 19.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest between the Play-In Tournament and the series against the Celtics (seven games).
Tyler Herro : Ends season plagued by struggles
Herro ended Wednesday's 118-84 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 15 points (6-19 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes. Herro was forced to embrace a more prominent role on offense due to the absences of Jimmy Butler (knee) and Terry Rozier (neck) in the series against the Celtics. While the numbers were decent across the board, he struggled badly in terms of efficiency and shooting percentages. Over the five games of the series, Herro made just 38.5 percent of his shots from the field and 34.9 percent of his three-pointers. He averaged 16.8 points per game, but that was not enough to lift Miami to victory against the team with the best record in the NBA.
Delon Wright : Able to return after stitches
Wright went to the locker room in the first quarter of Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics after taking an elbow to the face. However, he'll be available to return after receiving stitches, the Heat announced. Wright was elbowed in the chin as Jaylen Brown went up for a shot and ended up going back to the locker room after the play. He'll have stitches put on the inside of his lower lip/chin and will then return to the contest. Patty Mills and Duncan Robinson should see more minutes while Wright is absent.
Delon Wright : Starting Game 5
Wright will enter the starting lineup for Wednesday's Game 5 against Boston, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Wright will enter the first unit in place of Jaime Jaquez (hip) for just his second start of the season. The guard has been a sizeable part of the rotation throughout the first-round series, averaging 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 25.0 minutes per game, and should see an even larger workload Wednesday.
Terry Rozier : Remains out for Game 5
Rozier (neck) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Rozier will miss an 11th straight game due to a neck strain. Jimmy Butler (knee) and Jaime Jaquez (hip) are also out for the potential elimination game, so Delon Wright, Patty Mills, Kevin Love and Duncan Robinson are all candidates for increased roles.
Jaime Jaquez : Ruled out for Game 5
Jaquez has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics due to a hip flexor strain, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Jaquez initially went to the locker room during the first half of Game 4 after experiencing tightness in his hip but quickly returned to action. However, he was sidelined for the entire fourth quarter and finished with only nine points and two boards in 22 minutes. With Jaquez joining Terry Rozier (neck) and Jimmy Butler (knee) on the sidelines for the potential elimination game, Delon Wright, Patty Mills, Haywood Highsmith, Kevin Love and Duncan Robinson are candidates for increased roles.
Kevin Love : Barely noticeable Monday
Love amassed zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist in six minutes during Monday's 102-88 loss to the Celtics in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Love logged just six minutes, failing to have any sort of real impact against an impressive Celtics squad. At this point in his career, Love doesn't have enough in the tank to provide Miami with meaningful production. As has been the case for the last years, Love will not be a viable fantasy option next season.
