Orlando Robinson: Breaking News

Waived by Orlando

The Magic waived Robinson on Tuesday. Orlando has instead decided to replace Robinson's two-way roster spot with Alex Morales to reinforce its backcourt depth. With Moritz Wagner now healthy, it's likely Robinson, who hasn't appeared in a game since Dec. 26, became more expendable. For the time being, Robinson's next step could entail reporting back to the G League's Osceola Magic for the first time since mid-December to maintain his stock.

Garbage time special

Robinson posted one rebound and one assist in three minutes during Friday's 120-105 loss to the Hornets. Robinson appeared for just the fourth time this season, logging three minutes during garbage time. Even with Goga Bitadze (knee) sidelined, Robinson was barely used, indicating how low he is on the depth chart. There is no reason to pay attention to him outside of the deepest fantasy leagues.

Coming off bench Tuesday

Robinson will be deployed off the bench Tuesday against the 76ers. Robinson drew a rare start Sunday with both Wendell Carter (ankle) and Goga Bitadze (ankle) sidelined. However, Robinson will retreat to his usual bench role now that Orlando's center group has returned to health.
