Cole Swider: Breaking News

Scores 17 in SL loss

Swider racked up 17 points (6-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 26 minutes during Friday's 106-84 Summer League loss to the Nuggets. Swider played well throughout the California Classic and during his stint in the Las Vegas Summer League, showing his scoring and shooting abilities. The Syracuse product is hoping to secure another NBA contract, whether it be with his current squad or another team in the league, ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Sinks four triples in SL loss

Swider supplied 16 points (6-14 FG, 4-11 3Pt), five rebounds and three steals across 31 minutes in Monday's 67-58 Summer League loss to the Clippers. Swider finished as the team's second-leading scorer and was one of just two Lakers players to reach double figures. He also tied the game-high mark in steals. The 26-year-old forward has been impressive in Las Vegas Summer League play, averaging 19.7 points and 8.3 rebounds across 29.7 minutes per game in three appearances.

Tallies SL double-double

Swider chipped in 21 points (8-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal across 28 minutes in Saturday's 94-81 Summer League win over the Pelicans. Swider kept his strong Summer League run going Saturday with his second straight double-double. He appeared in 10 regular-season NBA games during the 2024-25 regular season, averaging 5.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game between stints with Detroit and Toronto. The forward should continue to play a prominent role for the remainder of the summer.
