Dru Smith: Breaking News

Smith (foot) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Play-In Tournament game against the Hornets. Smith hasn't seen game action since April 4 and will be inactive to open the postseason due to right foot soreness. The guard saw his role in the rotation diminish down the stretch of the regular season, and his absence shouldn't have much impact on the Heat rotation in Tuesday's contest.

Smith has been ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Hawks due to a right big toe sprain. Smith was sidelined for the Heat's last two games due to right foot soreness, but he has since been diagnosed with a sprain in his right big toe. The injury will prevent him from playing in Sunday's regular-season finale, and it's unclear whether he'll be available for the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament. Smith appeared in 70 regular-season games (one start) in 2025-26, averaging 5.6 points, 2.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 16.3 minutes.

Smith (foot) is out for Friday's game against the Wizards. Smith is not a rotation player for Miami, with Kasparas Jakucionis recently taking his spot in the backcourt. After appearing in 67 of Miami's first 71 regular-season games while averaging 16.8 minutes a night, Smith has played double-digit minutes only once since March 19.
