Buzelis posted 28 points (10-22 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's 92-82 loss to the Warriors in Summer League. Buzelis expanded upon his 15-point performance against the Bucks on Saturday with a 28-point outburst Sunday against Golden State. Buzelis was able to find his shot Sunday, tying for a game-high four three-pointers made after missing all four attempts in his previous outing. The 11th overall pick could see a substantial role for the Bulls this season with their uncertainty across the roster.

Latest Bulls News
Matas Buzelis : Goes for 28 in SL
Matas Buzelis : Scores 15 points in win
Buzelis notched 15 points (4-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 7-11 FT) with seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks in Saturday's 96-89 win over the Bucks in the Las Vegas Summer League. The No. 11 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Buzelis could potentially have a lot of opportunity during his rookie season with the Bulls recently moving on from DeMar DeRozan. Buzelis' playmaking ability combined with his size at 6-foot-9 makes him very intriguing, but he will have to improve his jumper after struggling in that regard with the G League Ignite last season.
Patrick Williams : Should be ready for training camp
Williams (foot) said Saturday that the bone in his foot is fully healed, and he should be ready for training camp in the fall, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Williams said he is now running and jumping pain-free after undergoing season-ending surgery in February. The 22-year-old signed a five-year, $90 million pact to stay with the Bulls this offseason, and his health will be a huge factor for the rebuilding club. In 43 regular-season games last season, Williams averaged 10.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 39.9 percent from deep.
Chris Duarte : Traded to Chicago
Duarte has been traded to the Bulls as part of the deal that sent DeMar DeRozan to the Kings, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Duarte will add depth on the wings for the Bulls, though it's unclear if he'll have much of a role with the team outside of being a bench option. He made 11 starts and 59 total regular-season appearances for the Kings in 2023-24, and his averages of 3.9 points and 1.8 boards per game aren't enough to make him appealing in fantasy even if he ends up having a more significant role with the Bulls compared to the one he had in Sacramento.
Adama Sanogo : Inks two-way deal with Chicago
Sanogo agreed to sign a two-way contract with the Bulls on Wednesday, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports. After going unselected in the 2023 NBA Draft, Sanogo spent the 2023-24 season on a two-way deal with the Bulls and appeared in only nine NBA games. The 23-year-old will remain on a two-way pact for 2024-25 and will likely spend most of his time in the G League when the Bulls' frontcourt is at full health.
Jalen Smith : Lands in Chicago on three-year deal
Smith agreed Monday with the Bulls on a three-year, $27 million contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. After declining his $5.42 million player option for 2024-25 on Friday, Smith will get a slight bump in salary for the upcoming season plus two extra years on his deal as he heads to Chicago. He'll slot in as the Bulls' new backup center behind starter Nikola Vucevic, after Andre Drummond struck an agreement with the 76ers on Sunday. Though he occasionally found himself outside of coach Rick Carlisle's rotation in Indiana in 2023-24, Smith served as Myles Turner's primary backup and was productive on a per-minute basis, averaging 9.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 three-pointers and 0.6 blocks in 17.2 minutes per contest over 61 appearances. Though his spot in Chicago's rotation should be more stable with fewer challengers for the top backup center job, Smith may not see a dramatic uptick in playing time with the Bulls so long as Vucevic stays healthy.
Andre Drummond : Set for second stint in Philly
Drummond agreed Sunday with the 76ers on a two-year deal worth more than $10 million, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Drummond will embark on his second stint in Philadelphia, with whom he played 49 games during the 2021-22 season. The veteran center spent the last two seasons in Chicago and averaged 8.4 points and 9.0 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game across 79 appearances in 2024-25. Drummond and Paul Reed will provide frontcourt depth and operate as the primary backup options behind starting center Joel Embiid.
Patrick Williams : To sign $90 million deal
Williams (foot) and the Bulls agreed to a five-year, $90 million contract Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The Bulls extended a qualifying offer to Williams previously to make him a restricted free agent, but they are solidifying their trust in Williams' long-term potential with this contract. Williams has had a lot of ups and downs with the Bulls, but he's a career 41.0 percent shooter from beyond the arc with considerable upside on both ends of the court.
