Torrey Craig: Breaking News

Plays nine minutes in loss

Craig closed Friday's 119-81 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound and three assists across nine minutes. Craig made his fifth appearance of the postseason Friday with the Celtics getting blown out of this contest. Craig ended up appearing in 26 regular-season games for Boston, posting 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per contest. Craig, who will be entering his age-35 season in 2025-26, is set to hit free agency this offseason.

Back to bench for Game 1

Craig will come off the bench during Sunday's Eastern Conference quarterfinal-round Game 1 matchup against the Magic, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Craig started two of the last three regular-season games for Boston, but he didn't make much of an impact during that span, failing to score in those two starts. The 33-year-old veteran will be in the second unit for Game 1 against Orlando.

Back in starting lineup

Craig is in the Celtics' starting lineup against the Hornets on Sunday, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Craig will make his second start in three games due to Boston resting its top rotational players. In his last start against the Magic on Wednesday, he finished with zero points, seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 28 minutes.
