Marcus Haynes

The Browns signed Haynes (quadriceps) to a contract Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The move comes after Za'Darius Smith sustained a knee contusion in practice Monday. Haynes was signed by the Broncos in 2023 as an undrafted free agent, and he spent his rookie season on the practice squad. He joined the Texans on a future/reserve contract in February, but was waived with an injury settlement in June due to a quadriceps injury. Now that he's healthy, Haynes will look to catch onto the Browns' 53-man roster in a depth role at defensive end.
