Winston Reid: Everything you need to know

Reid signed his exclusive-rights free-agent tender with Cleveland on Monday. Reid didn't play at all last season after suffering a back injury in late August. However, the Weber State product worked his way up to a pretty big role as a rookie in 2024, with most of his work coming on special teams. If Reid is back to full health and able to make the roster ahead of the upcoming campaign, he'll likely reprise his role as a depth option and special-teamer.

The Browns placed an exclusive rights free-agent tender on Reid (back) on Wednesday. After appearing in 16 regular-season games as a rookie in 2024, Reid missed the entire 2025 campaign with a back injury he suffered last summer. Reid will compete for a job under the Browns' new coaching staff this offseason.

Reid (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Reid was limited in practice all week but won't be activated from injured reserve in time for Sunday's regular-season finale. He'll end up missing the entire 2025 campaign after appearing in 16 contests last season.
