Just misses final cut

Hudson was released by the Saints on Tuesday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Hudson jumped to New Orleans this spring after a four-year stint in Washington that saw him have the best season of his career in 2023. However, the Michigan product was unable to carry over that momentum into a 53-man roster spot.

Absent from practice

Hudson (undisclosed) was unavailable for the Saints' practice Sunday, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports. Hudson finished with four total tackles in Saturday's 16-14 victory over the Cardinals in the team's preseason opener. He appears to have left the contest a little dinged up and he'll attempt to get back out on the practice field prior to next Sunday's matchup with San Francisco.
