Michael Dunn Latest News
Active against Commanders
Dunn (illness) is active Week 5 against the Commanders. Despite being limited in practice all week, Dunn will suit up and fill a depth role on the Cleveland offensive line.
Moves to active roster
Dunn (illness) was activated from the reserve/non-football illness list Saturday, Dunn returned to practice this week, and his move to the 53-man roster will allow him to suit up Sunday against Washington if the Browns so choose. However, the Maryland product is still listed as questionable for the contest. If he does suit up, he'll be expected to bolster Cleveland's depth on the offensive line.
Could play Sunday
Dunn (undisclosed) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Commanders, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Dunn has yet to be activated off the Browns' reserve/non-football illness list, but he's got a chance to suit up Sunday after his 21-day practice window was opened Wednesday. If Dunn is unable to play in Week 5, expect Javion Cohen to serve as Cleveland's lone reserve left guard.
Moving closer to return
Dunn (undisclosed) has been designated to return from the reserve/non-football illness list Wednesday. Dunn has missed the mandatory four games while dealing with an unknown illness. Now presumably healthy, he'll have a 21-day window to practice with the team before needing to return to the 53-man roster.
Placed on NFI list
Dunn (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list by the Browns on Tuesday, Kelsey Russo of the team's official website reports. Dunn is dealing with some sort of illness and he'll now be forced to sit out the first four games of the season while on the NFI list. The offensive lineman will be eligible to return for Week 5 against the Commanders on Oct. 6.
Activated off IR
Dunn injured his calf against the 49ers in Week 6 and was subsequently placed on IR. He returned to practice this week and logged three full sessions, giving him a chance to suit up Sunday versus Pittsburgh. Dunn has played in four games for Cleveland this season, making one start.
Takes next step for return
Dunn has missed the minimum of four weeks on injured reserve and appears ready to return to action soon. He now has a 21-day window to practice with the team before he needs to be added back to the active roster, but he could return as soon as Sunday against the Steelers.
