Todd Gurley may have been crowd-surfing in this photo taken after Georgia's 35-32 win over Tennessee on September 27 in Athens, but the Bulldogs' running back's days as the star of the show in Athens were at least temporarily put on hold Thursday, when the university announced it was suspending Gurley indefinitely pending an investigation into potential NCAA rules violations.
Gurley, a junior who's expected to be one of the first running backs taken in next spring's NFL draft, was the frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy before the suspension.
Reports emerged Thursday evening that Gurley had sold autographed memorabilia, though Georgia hasn't commented on the nature of the investigation.
There's a lot we don't know about the investigation and Gurley's future. But we do know this: When the Dawgs take on SEC rival Missouri on Saturday, they'll be without one of the best players in the country.
With Gurley sidelined, let's have a look back at some of his best moments on the field.
