Super Bowl 2015: Point Spread, Odds & Over-Under

The Seattle Seahawks have won 8 consecutive games, allowing just 6 touchdowns in the process. They just held the league’s highest-scoring offense – the Packers – to a single TD in the NFC Championship.

The New England Patriots have scored a combined 80 points in their 2 playoff victories and have cracked the 40 barrier 7 times this season. The Pats are coming off a 45-7 dismantling of the Colts in the AFC Championship, a game which introduced us to DeflateGate.

When the Super Bowl matchup was set moments after the final whistle on Conference Championship weekend, the Seahawks opened as the slight favorite. But, as they do often in the betting world, things have changed.

Most sportsbooks now have the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks as the underdog. The Patriots are listed mostly as 1-to-2 point favorites.

Seattle was a 2.5-3 point underdog in last year’s Super Bowl, but crushed the Broncos by 35.

And much like SB 48, this year’s game has a similar 47-to-48 point over-under.

Super Bowl XLIX is scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern and can be seen on NBC.
