Three of the NFL's undefeated teams were on a bye this week, leading the way for the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots to shine in Week 8. Both the Panthers and Patriots went to 6-0 on the season. The bigger question is what to do with the rest of the league. There seems to be about 12 to 15 teams that have shown signs of promise while the rest of the league is clustered together in underperformance.
To give you a picture of the craziness, the Indianapolis Colts are leading the AFC South with a 3-4 losing record. The 2-5 Jaguars are just one game out of first place. The NFL middle class seems to be rapidly disappearing, but there is still plenty of football left to be played.
