After a controversial decision in their first fight, Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev will battle it out once again Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Considering the first fight, which took place in November, was widely considered as a matchup for the pound-for-pound title, and considering it didn’t exactly provide a whole lot of separation, this sets up as easily one of the most important fights of the year.
Moreover, the undercard is much more intriguing this time around. Guillermo Rigondeaux, another among the world’s best pound-for-pound fighters, puts his WBA and IBO World super bantamweight titles on the line against undefeated Moises Flores. Luis Arias defends his USBA middleweight title against Arif Magomedov. And rising 26-year-old star Dmitry Bivol gets arguably the toughest test of his young career against Cedric Agnew.
The HBO pay-per view, which will include all of the aforementioned fights, costs $54.99 for standard definition and $64.99 for high definition (rices may slightly vary with different cable providers) and will start at 9 p.m. ET
