Even with several high-profile teams on a bye, Week 9 in the NFL should be entertaining one for DFS purposes. Two games--New Orleans at San Francisco and Indianapolis at Green Bay--have massive shootout potential according to the odds, while several others are projected to be close. Even with several stars unavailable, there are lots of intriguing fantasy plays, so let's get right into my ideal FanDuel lineup:
QB: Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Opponent: at San Francisco 49ers
Brees' road splits can be a bit concerning, but when the matchup is right, he's still more than able to take advantage. And the matchup is right, as the 'Niners are 19th in the NFL in adjusted yards allowed per attempt and 20th in Football Outsiders' pass defense rankings. San Fran is more vulnerable against the run, but with the Saints' running game kind of a mess (28th in yards per attempt), they should still lean on the pass in what is expected to be a high-scoring game.
