It's Kentucky Derby Day, so you know what that means. Fast horses, mint juleps, a snappy outfit and, of course, fancy hats. It has been a tradition for the women in attendance to wear an elaborate hat on Derby Day. While that is still the case, you'll see how creative the visitors have become when you scroll through this photo gallery. It's not just women who wear the hats anymore. The founder of Churchill Downs, Col. Meriwether Lewis Clark, Jr., had traveled to England and other parts of Europe and wanted his new track to have the feel and style of Britain's race tracks. The hat tradition was born. Click through the gallery to see some of the best hats from the 2015 Kentucky Derby.
