During the 2014 offseason, Saban received a raise. He was scheduled to make $5.5 million per year. The University of Texas reportedly pursued Saban to be their coach and were willing to offer Saban a contract package worth $100 million.

If the Crimson Tide make the national championship game, he will make an additional $210,000 and for winning the title he would get a $310,000 bonus. Altogether, Saban has the potential to make $630,000 in the College Football Playoff aside from his normal coaching salary.

Just in case his close to $7 million salary was not enough, the Alabama boosters purchased his home. According to, the foundation purchased the house for an estimated $3.1 million. Saban and his wife, Terry, purchased the house in 2007 and continue to live in the house. The University has said they can continue to live in the home as long as they like.

The home is 8,759 square feet with four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. It is on 1.26 acres of land. Alabama did a similar thing for legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. The home was purchased by the Sabans initially for $2.875 million.

5. Saban Owns Two Car Dealerships in Birmingham

Saban and a partner own two car dealerships in Birmingham. The dealerships are called Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham and Infiniti of Birmingham are the names of the dealerships. Saban appears to have both housing and vehicles covered in addition to making lot of money coaching football.
