With a bogey-free round of 67 Sunday, Danny Willett won the 2016 Masters after shooting a 5-under 283 over his four rounds.
He won by 3 strokes over Lee Westwood and 2015 winner Jordan Spieth.
It has been a busy and exciting couple of weeks for Willett.
A little over a week ago, his wife Nicole gave birth to the couple’s son, Zachariah.
Willett didn’t want to miss the birth of his son, but little Zachariah came before the Masters, so the 12th-ranked player in the world made the trip to Augusta. Zachariah’s due date was April 10, the day of the final round.
And now he’s in position to win it. Thanks to a stellar final round and a meltdown by Spieth, who fell apart on a 3-hole swing on the back 9 Sunday.
As you can see, the Par 4 Hole 3 was his favorite as he birdied it twice to finish at 2-under for the tournament.
He shot 1-over on both the par 4 1st and the par 4 18th.
The 2-over 74 on Friday was his worst round, but other than that, Willett was in the zone, especially Sunday.
