Saturday night the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series moved to Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero 400. And in a restrictor plate race that included 27 lead changes between 13 drivers and five caution flags, Brad Keselowski hung on to win the Coke Zero 400.

Keselowski’s win is the first of his career at Daytona, and it was also the 100th Sprint Cup Series win for Team Penske. While there were 27 lead changes, Keselowski led the race for 115 of the 161 laps. Rounding out the top five were Kyle Busch, Trevor Bayne, Joey Logano and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Greg Biffle, who began the race in pole position, finished eighth.

About half the field was involved in the crash on lap 90, with Kevin Harvick and Jimmie Johnson among those forced withdraw from the race as a result of damage to their respective cars. A total of 19 cars were involved in the wreck, resulting in the race being run under caution for nine laps with Joey Logano holding the lead at the restart.

The caution flag came out again on lap 130 as a result of debris on the track. Kyle Busch held a slim lead over Brad Keselowski when the race restarted on lap 134, with Keselowski retaking the lead five laps later. The caution flag would make its penultimate appearance on lap 148, as Tony Stewart was involved in a crash that led to him leaving the race. Cars driven by Casey Mears and Carl Edwards avoided any damage in Stewart’s crash, working around his car and continuing on.

The final caution of the race came five laps from the finish as multiple cars were involved in a crash including Carl Edwards’ No. 19 car. The crash ended the day for Edwards, with A.J. Allmendinger being able to complete out the race after grazing the wall. The green flag dropped on lap 158, with the race going into overtime as Keselowski winning the checkered flag on lap 161.
