Brown provided 17 points (7-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Tuesday's 120-117 victory over Cleveland. Despite struggling with his shot, Brown was clutch during the fourth quarter as Boston surged for the victory. The veteran wing also led the Celtics with his eight dimes. In what might be an Eastern Conference Finals preview, the Celtics needed top efforts from both Brown and Jayson Tatum to beat the formerly undefeated Cavs. Through 11 games, Brown is averaging what would be a career-high 4.4 assists per contest.

Latest Celtics News
Jaylen Brown : Dishes eight dimes in win
Jordan Walsh : One more DNP in win
Walsh never saw the floor in Tuesday's 120-117 home win over the formerly undefeated Cavaliers. The second-year pro now has three DNP-Coach's Decisions for the young season. Granted, Boston has a loaded roster, which will only get deeper when Kristaps Porzingis (foot) returns in December or January. Walsh might need some trips to the G League Maine Celtics to enjoy some extended run and remain ready to go for Boston. The 20-year-old Walsh has averaged nine minutes per contest when he does play. His next chance to see the floor occurs Friday at Washington.
Derrick White : Hits for 19 against Cavs
White produced 19 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one block over 42 minutes during Tuesday's 120-117 victory over the Cavaliers. The 30-year-old guard had a breakout 2023-24 campaign, but it seems as though he was just getting warmed up. White has increased both his volume and his efficiency from three-point range this season, and the result so far has been a career-high 18.9 points and 3.8 threes a game on 46.9 percent shooting from the floor, including 41.3 percent shooting from long distance. He's also supplying 4.6 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.8 steals a contest.
Al Horford : Pops for season-high 20 on Tuesday
Horford provided 20 points (7-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 120-117 win over the Cavaliers. It was a season high in scoring for the 38-year-old big, and Horford continues to give the Celtics reliable minutes in the frontcourt. He's drained multiple three-pointers in six straight starts, averaging 13.0 points, 6.5 boards, 3.0 threes, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks over that stretch while shooting 50.9 percent from the floor and 45.0 percent (18-for-40) from beyond the arc.
Jayson Tatum : Nabs double-double in win
Tatum contributed 33 points (11-22 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 12 rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 120-117 win over Cleveland. Tatum scored 30-plus points for the ninth time this season, and he also racked up his third consecutive double-double. The superstar has stuffed the stat sheet on a nightly basis, and he continues to dominate across the board while improving from beyond the arc. The 26-year-old has shot 44.9 percent from deep over his last five outings, and he has posted a double-double in four of them.
Neemias Queta : Moves back to bench Tuesday
Queta is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers. Queta will head to the bench for this game since the Celtics will play their best possible starting unit. Queta has averaged 4.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game when playing off the bench this season.
Payton Pritchard : Cleared to play Tuesday
Pritchard (thumb) is available for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Pritchard will shake off a questionable tag and suit up despite a left thumb sprain. Over his last eight appearances, the backup guard has averaged 16.1 points, 2.9 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 28.5 minutes per game.
Baylor Scheierman : Returns from G League
Boston recalled Scheierman from the G League's Maine Celtics on Monday. Scheierman isn't likely going to be a consistent part of the rotation at the NBA level anytime soon, so look for the rookie first-round pick to continue bouncing back and forth between the NBA and G League this season.
