The second round of the 2026 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am brought a turning point to the Monterey Peninsula: the amateurs officially wrapped up their week, while the professionals positioned themselves for a weekend charge at iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Friday delivered both celebration and separation. Keegan Bradley and his amateur partner Mary Meeker closed out the pro-am portion in style, finishing at 20-under par to secure a wire-to-wire victory.
Bradley and Meeker Take Pro-Am Crown
Bradley and Meeker entered Round 2 with momentum after posting a remarkable 13-under 59 in the opening round – the lowest score by any duo across the two-day pro-am. They followed that up with a steady 7-under 65 on Friday, holding off a late push from multiple challengers to win by two shots.
The victory capped a strong collaborative effort, with Meeker – a member of the PGA Tour policy board – providing steady play alongside Bradley’s experience. For Bradley, it marked a welcome highlight at Pebble Beach, a venue where his previous finishes were 11th and T-65 in his two prior appearances.
Their closest pursuers were Akshay Bhatia and Guru Gowrappan, who finished just one stroke back at 19-under after Bhatia fired an impressive 8-under 64. The pairing briefly threatened to overtake the leaders, but Bradley and Meeker held firm down the stretch.
Bhatia Surges Into the Professional Spotlight
While Bradley celebrated the pro-am win, Bhatia quietly authored one of the most important rounds of the day for the professional competition. His bogey-free 64 vaulted him into a share of the overall tournament lead alongside Thursday pace-setter Ryo Hisatsune.
Through two rounds, Bhatia has a bogey-free scorecard and looks increasingly comfortable on Pebble Beach’s demanding greens and tight landing areas. The performance continues a strong run of form for the 22-year-old, who is coming off a T-3 finish at the WM Phoenix Open and entered the week ranked 48th in the Official World Golf Ranking.
After his round, Bhatia emphasized simplicity over perfection, explaining that his focus has shifted toward getting the ball in play and trusting his instincts rather than chasing technical aesthetics. Friday also marked his 100th career PGA Tour start, adding another layer of significance to his surge into contention.
Hisatsune Holds Firm as Stars Linger
Hisatsune, who stunned the field with a bogey-free 62 in Round 1, stayed steady on Friday to maintain a share of the lead. The Japanese standout continues to impress with his short game and composure, proving his opening round was no fluke.
Just behind the leaders, a crowded pack remains very much alive. Bradley himself sits T-8 entering Saturday’s professional-only rounds, while names like Min Woo Lee, Sam Burns, and Rickie Fowler hover within striking distance after solid two-day efforts.
