Halliday agreed to terms on a two-year, $2.15 million contract extension with Ottawa on Tuesday. Halliday was scheduled to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but he has secured a new two-year deal with the club. In 30 appearances for the Sens this year, the 23-year-old center notched four goals, seven assists and 34 shots, including three power-play helpers. Even with a new deal in hand, Halliday could still spend some time in the minors during the 2026-27 campaign.

Stephen Halliday : Signs two-year extension
Halliday agreed to terms on a two-year, $2.15 million contract extension with Ottawa on Tuesday. Halliday was scheduled to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but he has secured a new two-year deal with the club. In 30 appearances for the Sens this year, the 23-year-old center notched four goals, seven assists and 34 shots, including three power-play helpers. Even with a new deal in hand, Halliday could still spend some time in the minors during the 2026-27 campaign.
Ridly Greig : Receives two-game suspension
Greig was suspended for two 2026-27 regular-season games by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for roughing Carolina's Sean Walker on April 25. The incident occurred in Ottawa's season-ending Game 4 playoff loss to the Hurricanes. Greig had one assist in the series after collecting 13 goals, 35 points, 129 shots on net and 96 hits in 77 appearances during the 2025-26 regular season.
Artem Zub : Recovery ongoing
Zub (lower body) remains about a month away from being fully fit, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports Monday. Based on Zub's announced timeline, the Senators would have needed a very deep run for him to return during the postseason. In 81 regular-season appearances, the 30-year-old blueliner notched five goals and 25 assists, reaching the 30-point threshold for the first time in his six-year NHL career. Hopefully, the team will provide an update in the future, but fantasy managers should anticipate he'll be ready for the start of training camp in the fall.
Ridly Greig : Hit with hearing
Greig will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for roughing Sean Walker. The incident in question surrounds a post-whistle scrum in which Greig punched Sean Walker while he was engaged with another player. The 23-year-old was not penalized on the play, but the Department of Player Safety will take a look regardless. With the Senators season over, should a suspension be handed down, Greig would have to serve it at the beginning of next season.
Linus Ullmark : Gets no support in four-game sweep
Ullmark made 26 saves in a 4-2 loss to Carolina on Saturday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First Round. He allowed just two goals. The four-game sweep was not on Ullmark. Only two Senators managed to score goals -- Drake Batherson had three and Dylan Cozens had two. Total. Ullmark finished with a .932 save percentage. He is just the second goalie in NHL history to have a save percentage north of .930 and still get swept in a four-game series, according to ESPN's Blake Warye. Jonathan Quick (.947) suffered the same fate in the first round in 2018.
Carter Yakemchuk : Two assists in NHL playoff debut
Yakemchuk picked up two assists Saturday in a 4-2 loss to Carolina in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First Round. Game 4 was Yakemchuk's NHL playoff debut. He fired three shots in 19:34. The 20-year-old defender delivered 40 points, including 10 goals, in 54 games with the AHL Belleville Senators and had one goal and one assist in four regular-season games with the big club. Yakemchuk finished second in rookie scoring from the blue line and 12th overall among all AHL defenders this past season. His future is bright.
Dylan Cozens : Game-high eight hits in loss
Cozens scored a goal and laid a game-high eight hits Saturday in a 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First Round. It was Cozens' second goal of the postseason. There were only two Senators who tickled twine in this four-game sweep. Drake Batherson scored the other three goals. Cozens has four points (three goals, one assist), 24 shots and 49 hits in 10 postseason games in his career. He finished his first full season in Ottawa with 28 goals, 31 assists, 29 power-play points, 205 shots, 435 face-off wins (53.2 percent) and a career high 215 hits. Cozens' overall fantasy value was boosted this season by those hits and power-play production, so file that away on your sleeper list.
Drake Batherson : Moves up playoff goal streak list
Batherson scored a goal, added an assist and added one minor penalty in a 4-2 loss to Carolina in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First Round. Batherson finished the postseason with three goals, one assist and nine shots in four games; he led the Senators in playoff scoring. In fact, he was just one of two Sens who potted a goal in this series. Dylan Cozens scored the Sens other two goals. Batherson scored in three straight games, which moved him into a tie for third on the franchise's longest playoff goal streaks behind Martin Havlat (six) and Daniel Alfredsson (five).
