Murphy scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Ducks in Game 6. Murphy did fine with three points, 12 shots on net, 12 hits, 15 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over six playoff outings. The 33-year-old defenseman wasn't able to pull the Oilers into the second round, and he'll now turn his attention to unrestricted free agency in the summer. Murphy had 17 points, 90 hits, 138 blocked shots and 71 PIM over 80 regular-season contests between Edmonton and Chicago.

Latest Oilers News
Connor Murphy : Buries goal in loss
Murphy scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Ducks in Game 6. Murphy did fine with three points, 12 shots on net, 12 hits, 15 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over six playoff outings. The 33-year-old defenseman wasn't able to pull the Oilers into the second round, and he'll now turn his attention to unrestricted free agency in the summer. Murphy had 17 points, 90 hits, 138 blocked shots and 71 PIM over 80 regular-season contests between Edmonton and Chicago.
Vasily Podkolzin : Scores in season-ending loss
Podkolzin scored a goal on three shots and added five hits in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Ducks in Game 6. The Oilers had plenty of flaws in this first-round series, but Podkolzin's play was a benefit. He had three goals, three assists, 12 shots on net, 32 hits and a plus-5 rating over six contests against the Ducks. Podkolzin earned a 37-point regular season wihle adding 242 hits and 63 PIM over 82 appearances. He signed a three-year contract extension back in September, and that deal will kick in for 2026-27, cementing Podkolzin as a piece of the Oilers' middle six moving forward.
Connor Ingram : Falls short in Game 6
Ingram allowed four goals on 30 shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Ducks in Game 6. Ingram kept the Oilers' season alive once but couldn't do it twice, failing to get the series back to Edmonton. The Ducks jumped out to a 3-1 lead after one period, and that deficit was too much to overcome for the Oilers. Ingram went 2-3 with 19 goals allowed on 153 shots (.876 save percentage) across five outings in this series, which will see the Oilers fail to make the second round for the first time since 2021. Ingram is eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer if the Oilers don't re-sign him.
Jason Dickinson : Good to play Thursday
Dickinson (lower body) is expected to remain in the lineup for Game 6 against Anaheim on Thursday, per Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels. Dickinson was regarded as a game-time call for the sixth consecutive match. He did miss Games 2 and 3 of the first-round series due to the injury, but this is set to be his third straight game in the lineup. Dickinson has two goals and three points in three playoff outings this year.
Connor Ingram : Slated to start Thursday
Ingram is expected to start on the road against Anaheim in Game 6 on Thursday, per Patrick Present of The Hockey News. With the Oilers one loss away from elimination, Ingram came up big Tuesday, stopping 28 of 30 shots. Edmonton will be hoping to get a similar result out of him in Game 6, but Ingram hasn't always been effective against the Ducks. He was 1-2 with a 4.70 GAA and an .849 save percentage across the opening three games of this first-round series.
Adam Henrique : Expected to miss Thursday’s game
Henrique (lower body) isn't expected to play in Game 6 against Anaheim on Thursday. Henrique also missed Edmonton's past four games because of the injury. He had three goals and 15 points in 65 regular-season appearances in 2025-26. If the Oilers win Thursday, then Henrique will have another opportunity to return for Game 7 on Saturday.
Jason Dickinson : Slated to be GTD
Dickinson (lower body) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's Game 6 versus the Ducks. Dickinson has been a game-time decision for every game of the postseason, and that's likely to continue as long as the Oilers' season is alive. He's played in two straight contests, so consider him likely to suit up again as the Oilers' season is on the line Thursday, though he was limited to 10:20 of ice time in Game 5 on Tuesday.
Max Jones : Could return in second round
Jones (lower body) is expected to be available if the Oilers advance to the second round, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports Wednesday. The Oilers are trailing the Ducks 3-2 in the first round, so there's no guarantee they'll give Jones enough time to get back. If they do, he'll be a contender for a bottom-six spot. In any case, his injury isn't expected to linger into 2026-27.
