Silovs had an up-and-down regular season, but he shone after replacing Stuart Skinner between the pipes in the playoffs, allowing five goals on 82 shots (.939 save percentage) over three starts. Both goalies are free agents this offseason -- Skinner unrestricted and Silovs an RFA -- but with prospect Sergei Murashov potentially ready to make the leap to the NHL on a full-time basis in 2026-27, it's not clear if either veteran will be back in Pittsburgh next season.

Blomqvist was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports. Blomqvist will serve as the Penguins' No. 3 option in Game 6 on Wednesday. As such, the 24-year-old backstop shouldn't be expected to actually get into the game. Looking ahead to 2026-27, Blomqvist will need a strong training camp to earn a spot on the NHL roster for Opening Night.
Silovs will tend the twine on the road against the Flyers in Game 6 on Wednesday, Sportsnet's Dan Potash reports. Silovs has given up four goals on 50 shots (.920 save percentage) in two wins this postseason. The 25-year-old has become the No. 1 option between the pipes for head coach Dan Muse after Stuart Skinner went 0-3 in the first three games of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Skinner surrendered nine goals on 71 shots.
Shea logged an assist and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5. The helper was Shea's first point in five playoff games, and he's added three shots on net, three hits and seven blocked shots. This is his first year in the postseason as an NHL player. He had a breakout year with six goals, 35 points, 92 blocked shots, 72 shots on net and a plus-30 rating over 80 regular-season appearances.
Soderblom scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Monday's 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5. Soderblom is getting his first taste of playoff action in the NHL, and he's doing so in a bottom-six role. The goal was his first point in four appearances in this first-round series. The 24-year-old has added nine shots on net, 10 hits and an even plus-minus rating. Soderblom split the regular season between Pittsburgh and Detroit, totaling seven goals, 13 points, 69 shots on net and 99 hits across 59 games.
Dewar scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Monday's 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5. Dewar has scored both of his goals this series over the last two games. The 26-year-old has added 17 hits, providing some physicality from a fourth-line role. Dewar should continue to play regularly as the Penguins look to dig out from what was a 3-0 deficit in the series that they've now cut down to 3-2.
Letang scored a goal and added three hits in Monday's 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5. Letang's shot missed the net, but the carom off the back boards landed in the crease, and Dan Vladar inadvertently shuffled the puck into his net. This was Letang's second goal in as many games, and both have sealed victories as the Penguins work their way back from what was a 3-0 series deficit. Letang has added nine shots on net, seven hits, four blocked shots, 18 PIM and a minus-2 rating over five playoff contests.
Crosby notched two assists Monday in the Penguins' 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5 of their first-round series. Both points came in the second period, as Crosby helped set up a tally by Connor Dewar, as well as the very fluky game-winner by Kris Letang that ricocheted home off the end boards. In between, Crosby briefly headed to the locker room to get his knee checked out after getting hit by a shot attempt by Ryan Shea, but he appears to have avoided anything serious. Crosby has gotten onto the scoresheet in three straight games, collecting a goal and five points during that span, and he'll likely need to come up big again in Game 6 on Wednesday if the Penguins are going to stave off elimination once more.
