On Monday, March 2, Taylor Swift received some major career news amid the excitement of her personal life. Of course, Swift and Travis Kelce are planning their dream wedding, and even though they haven’t officially announced the date, chance are that by the time the Kansas City Chiefs hit the field in September, Kelce will be a married man.
Swift released her 12th studio album, “Life of a Showgirl,” in October 2025, and it’s topped the charts for months at this point. In fact, multiple songs off the album are still on the Billboard charts, proving this record’s staying power.
“Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ combines new, exciting sonic turns with incisive storytelling,” Rolling Stone said in its review of the album. Maya Georgi of Rolling Stone added, “On her 12th studio album, Swift hits all her marks — from new, exciting sonic turns to incisive storytelling.” It means a lot to get such a glowing review from Rolling Stone, one of the biggest music publications in the world.
So, how are the singles off “Life of a Showgirl” doing now, in March of 2026? It’s good news for Swift.

Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” track off the new album has officially stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 21 weeks, as of Monday, March 2, according to a report and research from the industry outlet Chart Data. It was No. 1 for 10 weeks.
According to Forbes, Swift’s longest-running song on the Billboard Hot 100 is also “The Fate of Ophelia,” which “stands as her only track to command the tally for double-digit frames,” Forbes notes. Hugh McIntyre of the outlet adds, “The first single taken from her blockbuster album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ – which also features “Opalite” – dominated for 10 periods beginning in mid-October 2025.”
Taylor Swift is ‘In Charge of the Billboard Hot 100’ Chart, Again
“Once again, Taylor Swift is in charge of the Billboard Hot 100, the weekly list of the most consumed songs in America,” McIntyre adds. “For most musical artists, hitting the top spot on the ranking would be a career high point, but Swift has accomplished the feat many times over.”
The song is also No. 1 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart in its 20th frame on the tally, according to Forber. That becomes her milestone 15th No. 1 and ties her with Maroon 5.
“Now that ‘Opalite’ has climbed as high as possible, Swift ties the all-time record for the most champions on the Adult Pop Airplay list,” McIntyre adds in the story, out on Saturday, February 28. “Swift is on the same level as Maroon 5, and the pop band is now forced to share an honor it has held for quite some time.”
McIntyre adds, “Unlike Swift, Maroon 5 has not added to its total in more than half a decade. The last time the Grammy-winning outfit scored a new leader was in December 2019, when ‘Memories’ finally lifted to the top space.”
It just proves the good or bad reviews, this album is there to stay. As the BBC point out, “tepid reviews didn’t matter. Spotify declared it their most-streamed album in a single day. In the UK, it enjoyed the biggest first-week sales in seven years. Right now, it seems nothing can damage Swift.”
